World Water Ski Championships, Paris, 2017

With athletes from over 25 countries competiting, the 35th Water Ski World Championships officially started on Tuesday at Choisy-le-Roi near Paris, France. The Canadian Team was represented by a six-member team and 7 individual athletes. In addition to the coveted world team title, athletes from more than 25 countries competed for individual medals in slalom, tricks, jumping and overall at the Worlds. Canada finished in 3rd position!

Alberta Skier Ryan Dodd finished 1st in Jump and is the 2017 World Jump Champion.  Dorien Llewellyn finished 5th in Overall.  Overall is made up of slalom, trick and jump events.
