Shae O'Brien - Female Athlete Of The Year!

Water Ski & Wakeboard Alberta is pleased to announce our Provincial Awards!

We announced our provincial award winners at our AGM on December 8, 2021.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR -- SHAE O'BRIEN!

Shae is an overall skier competing in slalom, trick and jump! She had an amazing season this year! Her hard work in her training, her dedication and commitment to the sport has earned her this very deserving award!

High Level Competitions and Teams:

- Named to Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada's National Development Team

- Competed in the U17 World Water Ski Championships

- Competed at the U21 World Water Ski Championships

- Competed at the Open World Water Ski Championships

- Competed at the Junior Masters Water Ski Event

- Competed at the Junior US Open Water Ski Event

Achievements and Podiums:

- Set a new AB Record in U17 Women Jump with a jump of 43.5m

- 3rd Place in Jump at the U17 World Water Ski Championships

- 2nd Place in Jump at the Junior Masters Water Ski Event

- 1st Place in Overall at the Junior US Open

- Silver medal for Team Canada at the U21 World Water Ski Championships

- Bronze medal for Team Canada at the U17 World Water Ski Championships
