2012 Clinic Information

Our 2012 Coaching Clinic ("Foundations," including Rip n Ride Fundamentals) will be held June 30th - July 1st inclusively at the SABC Camp, less than two hours south of Calgary. (See http://www.sabc.ca/contact/ for map).

Course Information: Rip n Ride Foundations (Community Sport Stream)

- 2 day course covering the basic technical skills in all disciplines (Water Ski, Wakeboard, Wakeskate, Barefoot, Adaptive & Cable)
- designed to meet needs of entry level coaches
- gives skills required to instruct up to Bronze skill level of Rip n Rides
COURSE PRE-REQUISITES:
 FIRST AID
 PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATORS CARD
 16 YEARS OF AGE
COURSE COMPONENTS INCLUDE:
 DEVELOPING A COACHING PHILOSOPHY
 UNDERSTANDING EQUIPMENT
 COACHING BEGINNERS
 DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING SAFE AND EFFECTIVE PRACTICE PLANS
 INTEGRATING ATHLETES WITH A DISABILITY
COURSE RESOURCES INCLUDE:
 COACH WORKBOOK
 TECHNICAL MANUAL
 WSWC LTAD MANUAL
NOTE: NCCP CERTIFICATION IS NOT AN OPTION AT THIS STAGE. THERE IS NO EVALUATION PROCESS.
