Ryan Dodd – AB Team Coach
Ryan started skiing at the age of 9 with his father Bruce and the Llewellyn family in Innisfail, Alberta. He continued to ski there for about 3 years until his father built his own private ski lake in their cow pasture. Their family and friends ski there all summer with the help of coaches such as Mike Ferraro and the Llewellyns. A tournament also takes place, which has been the site of many national records and one world record. In the winter he has a strict training program that includes guidance from the Olympic Training Center in Calgary. He trains at the gym 5 days a week, plays hockey 4 times a week and runs and rides the bike daily. He also travels to Florida to ski for a few weeks each month when he can get away from school.
